Meditation

Man, in order to escape his conflicts, has invented many forms of meditation. These have been based on desire, will and the urge for achievement and imply conflict and a struggle to arrive. This conscious, deliberate striving is always within the limits of a conditioned mind and in this there is no freedom. All effort to meditate is the denial of medition.

Medition is the ending of thought. It is only then that there is a different dimension which is beyond time.

Damaged heart cells can be recovered

It is an assumption that once the heart cells arer damaged they do not get regenerated,But this is going to be proved wrong.Heart muscle that is lost as a result of interruption of blood supply in a heart attack is not replaced by muscle.Healing occurs in the form of a fibrous scar, but there is no regeneration of the original tissue. The same is true of neurons in the brain.Heart muscle cells and nerve cells are so specialised in function that they seem to have lost the capacity for new growth.Yet perhaps even in these vital cells there are switches waiting to be discovered that mnight turn on the appropriate sequences of DNA in the nucleus. If science begins to focus on the healing system, isolating and understanding its mechanism, it is not impossible that doctors will one day be able to spark the regeneration of the damaged hearts and brains and several spinal cords. That will truely be a new era of healing-oriented medicine.
